  •   This is a relaxing kick back place to visit for a birthday party or any type of celebration that is where I had my bachelorette party the food was pretty good it was clean and great entertainment.  I will bring lots of business to this place.

Service was good. We immediately got seated outside and waiter was attentive. Went on a Saturday at 3pm during happy hour. Ordered a well drink, Tom Collins, which I didn't like. Waiter was cool and allowed me to exchange it for merlot wine instead. My husband and son each got 24oz beers which were tasty. For food, my son got the happy hour crab cakes and chicken wings, which tasted mediocre. I would compare these southern comfort  to similar frozen food from Costco. I got the ahi tuna roll whch were delish. Hubby got the pulled pork sandwick which was dry (not enough bbq sauce) but edible - i don't think it was worth the $16 price.  Overall, I would return for the beers and only during happy hour.Thought food was overpriced.

Great spot for happy hour. Love the moscow mule, and the beer selection is pretty good, too. The food is typical bar food, so not great, unless you like a lot of grease.

  •   We were looking for a new place in the area and we decided to try this place because it came to our attention that during the fires, Tavern 101 stayed open to feed first responders at no charge.
We have been there and enjoyed dinner twice with family. Casual place, food is delish, and the servers are friendly and attentive. We also relaxed in the patio after dinner so we could listen to great live music.
I personally am not a fan of smoked meats, but they have other tasty options, especially their pulled pork dinner or sandwich. Those in our party who do like smoked meats said it was all wonderful!

While I'm FAR from a regular here, I have been in at least a handful of times. Whether the place is empty or full, the service has always been excellent, never had a long wait for food, and the food has always been on point and mouth watering.

Add to that the fact that they have supported first responders and those victimized by the tragic Woolsey Fire, how can you not return the favor and support a local, family owned business?  EASILY 5!

I love their secluded patio and you would never guess you were sitting so close to a road/freeway. I liked the food too. I Definitely prefer the ambience outside vs inside. This is the one case where I like a bar place more than my hubby does. (I'm not a drinker.). I also read recently lots of positive posts from the community how involved they were with feeding the firefighters working the Woolsey Fire. So glad to see our local businesses being active in the community!
